    Lighting a 125.

That's not bad, & thanks so much. I think that's what I'll do.. A lot of people close to me in fish stores, not petsmart or anything, say they don't like LEDs, because they don't think the technology has advanced enough in that section.. & I really don't want to use MH's because I already have...

    Lighting a 125.

Okay, so basically invest in some LED lights.. For a 125, what's a good LED light system, that's not gonna break me...

    Lighting a 125.

It is the 6 foot long tank, & alright, I wasn't sure if it would grow anything at least directly under the light, then grow the lower light corals on the out skirts of the light?

    Lighting a 125.

Hey guys, I have a 4 bulb 48 inch t5ho wave point. Got it basically dirt cheap.. But never started corals in my 55.. Now I've got the oppurtunity to make a 125 gallon salt, using the 55 sump. What corals will that light be able to grow? Or is that light not gonna be satisfying enough to grow...

    Reef Safe Fish.

Yeah, I've heard LEDs are good.. But I came across this wave point 48 inch, 4 bulb t5ho fixture for 40$.. So I took it.. Cause I originally planned on it going on a 55, then I got the option to make a 125 gallon.

    Jordan's 55 Gallon Reef!

Yeah, turn your lights off, & the best thing to do us bring up paint, & make the tablet or whatever a light blue color or even white.. & then you can see, pm me you're email, & I'll send you the videos I took of a tempered glass tank, & the tank we wanted to drill which turned out not to be...

Cool, & I really would like a tang, & my little boy wants a hippo tang.. But idk.. & do you guys think a 48 inch wave point t5ho 4 bulb light fixture will be good enough to grow corals in the 125g.

    Jordan's 55 Gallon Reef!

Yes.. It's neat, try it at night.. If you do outside.. If you're not sure what tempered glass looks like.. Do you car window first.. I had a tank I knew was tempered, (snake cage) so I used hers first, then tested the empty tank to look. Pretty neat. On the YouTube they use a polarized filter...

    Jordan's 55 Gallon Reef!

If your curious to know how to tell, YouTube how to identify tempered glass.. You basically take 3D and look through the glass, with a laptop screen on the other side.. I took videos, but I can't post them.. Check it out, it worked for me.. I can post this though. It's the center piece cut out...

    Jordan's 55 Gallon Reef!

Look into drilling it, we have a petstore here that drills tanks for 20 bucks a hole. Just make sure you tell if it's tempered or not, if there's no sticker saying it is.. There is a way to test your glass.. I just drilled a 125, for a upcoming reef tank. Using a 55 gallon for sump.

Well I already got a six line wrasse, I'll have to look into them as well.. Most fish you can have can only be a single species. Kinda sucks.. & I don't want damsels..

    Reef Safe Fish.

Yeah, I wanna do quite a few of those, but I also want some other eye catchers.. I saw a tank on YouTube with a ton of Anthias.. They look cool but I know they pick on inverts & stuff.. Plus they are expensive..

    Reef Safe Fish.

Because I want to know.. That's why I haven't once said I am gettin a hippo tang, just that, that was a considered option.. I'm taking in everyone's opinion, & as far as the tang being king of ick, I have already got a tank set aside for a QT. but besides a tang & angelfish, since I can...

    Reef Safe Fish.

How'd you learn the hard way? I've read a 125 (6foot) is a good size for Hippo, & that they grow slowly. I've also read up that yellow tangs can be quite aggressive, with the barb on their tail.

I am possibly going to try a hippo tang, & I didn't think Coral Beauties were reef safe?

    Reef Safe Fish.

I have a 55 FOWLR tank, that I will be upgrading to a 125g tank in the next upcoming weeks.. I've tried to stick with fish that are considered reef safe, so I can do some corals in my 125. As of right now, I have a pair of clowns, a mandarin goby, a six line wrasse, & a watchman goby/pistol...
