Hi! I don't know if this would contribute to your cloudy water, but your nitrates are looking incredibly high! I'm pretty sure that doing a 50% water change would help, somebody on here told me that the ideal level is below 10 ppm and preferably 0 ppm :)

One last thing: what is the ideal nitrate number? Since my last water change, the nitrates have gone from 20 to 5, and I want to know where I should be aiming for...

When I started my tank, I had no idea what cycling was, or that it even existed. So I just treated the water and threw the suckers in, I've had the tank for 4 years now, and while I had a few fatalities, it all worked out in the end. But I definetly wouldn't reccomend it, now that you know...

Hi! Honestly, I've found over time from people on AA that the answer for almost anything regarding water quality is to do a 50% pwc. I have a 10 gal tank too, and cloudy water should clear up in about a week...
