Well she is eating like a hog and swimming well. She survived the cycle and 1.009 salinity. 1 more week then time to start bringing salinity up. She still can't go home for 3 weeks so gonna bring salinity up real slow like.

I put in Kent's phosphate sponge, she had shriveled up with no polyp extension, and she woke right up. Still need to order phosphate kit but Kent's seems to have brought polyps out. Now if only she could get color back.

I set up a QT from scratch and killed a gramma and firefish because tank cycled. Will you be using floss or any filter elements from DT? I would recommend that. I am new to hobby and was very sad to lose those guys, but to clear up ich you need to pull all fish out of tank and treat them all...

Well she finally is eating. I had to use old substrate in jug to make her happy. Turned into "she isn't going to make it so have nothing to lose"

Although healthy corals will make it not "reek" so much and more reefy :)

My leathers polyps are out during day and closes at night like a good coral but she use to have a nice green tint and now she is just whitish. Does she need more light? Last time I raised her in tank she wouldn't talk to me for 2 days...till I put her back where she was, then she opened wide.

The sponge is not as pretty as I hoped.

My mushrooms closed from to much light, is it in shady place? Also to much flow will do it. Lastly sometimes they just do that.

All parameters are good but jawfish is not eating. She grabs food then spits it out. I had done brine to get her eating but can't get it locally and not driving an hour, no place to keep them. She use to eat pellets now doesn't. Not seeing her eat mysis either. He is so skinny and is stuck...

When I was making water for the first time I marked a measuring cup with the amount needed for 1 gallon and I marked my bucket at 1 gallon intervals. I make 2 gallons at a time and it is 1 cup of salt.

I am curious how you would be doing water changes with sea water? What I think would work is if you took a sea water sample and temperature check and work from there. Living in New England I would have to use a chiller.
