    Need help smelly water

Lots of people are successful with canister filters. I'm sure there are a few here that can attest to that. Just make sure you keep a regular cleaning and water change schedule and you'll be ok. I can't stress the regular part enough... Every week. I also agree with the other posters about...

    Coral banded shrimp molt

I just added a coral banded shrimp to one of my tanks yesterday and in less than 24 hours it molted. Normally I wouldn't be concerned because I know it's something that happens but the timing has me worried. Is it just coincidence or should I be concerned? If it's the latter what should I look...

    Best skimmer for biocube 29

I saw that skimmer on Amazon, the price makes it worth a shot over the hydor and the tunze.. I have a coralife so I'm used to finicky skimmers.. lol Sent from my HTCONE using Aquarium Advice mobile app

    Best skimmer for biocube 29

I have the same experience with my 56 column and sump. Every little bit helps. What I really want to know is what do other biocube people use? Would they recommend what they have? Performance of said skimmers and etc. Sent from my HTCONE using Aquarium Advice mobile app

    Best skimmer for biocube 29

Very true, I can. I plan on doing 5 gallon changes weekly or biweekly. I already have a reef tank , this one is more or less my 11yr olds with "dad's help". Lol I like having a skimmer, I feel it's a good back up to have even with regular water changes. Sent from my HTCONE using Aquarium...

Zebra Moray Eeel in my aquarium

That being said, I've seen a huge snowflake eel... One of the lfr I've go to has a transplant that's way bigger than the typical. I have no idea the length but it's more than 2"across...it's head is huge. Sent from my HTCONE using Aquarium Advice mobile app

    Panorama Pros?

That's a great deal! The panoramas are around $70 each, dimmers are $15 each, and I can't remember how much power supplies were... Probably closer to $20. Sent from my HTCONE using Aquarium Advice mobile app

    Fairy wrasse with green wrasse

Isn't a green wrasse supposed to be kept in 75 gallon tank? Not to be the fish police but I would think over time it'll out grow your tank , I think they can get to 8"in size. Sent from my HTCONE using Aquarium Advice mobile app

    Water

I've been told not to mix different brand salts. Supposedly they can be mixed in separate buckets then added to the tank together... So it's possible I guess, since these are pre mixed. Sent from my HTCONE using Aquarium Advice mobile app

    Western mass

Dave at SoF is good, the rest of the help is sketchy at best. I've gotten my fair share of bad advice from that place. Fish frenzy in Ludlow is good, ed the owner is the guy I mention in one of my earlier posts. Their prices are good but he mostly relies on local refers for stock (hence the good...

    Would fan worms be safe?

I don't have much experience with canisters (I use a sump and live rock primarily). But bigger is always better for filtration. This is what I was referring to http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/bulk-dry-live-rock-live-sand/bulk-dry-live-rock.html The good thing with this stuff it's price...
