if you're familiar with rainbow bosemanii (sp?) . . . some mornings when i come downstairs the largest of the rainbows are very nearly navy blue on their front half . . . other times not. as they mature will this color remain constant? do you know how big these fish get?

i think i'm only cleaning my pump maybe once a month.
if you don't use charcoal, what do you put in the cylinder currently containing charcoal.
on liveaquaria and am tempted to get it for no other reason than it's so pretty. is there a downside i should know about to having a lobster in the tank?
exclusively under water? i've searched for "aquatic turtles" but, of course, get red-eared sliders and all the others who need to come to the surface to breathe.
is there a downside to having turtles? do they tear up plants?

the last time i had an aquarium (30 years ago) i lived in los angeles and every lfs had live food. now i live in kansas city and lfs owners look at me as if i've grown a second head when i ask about live food.
my dogs and cats are on raw food and i think i'd like for my fish to be as well...
