Andy, from your experience with peacocks how long do they usually take to mature from frys to breeding condition? i.e. months, length I'm sure they vary but a rough estimate on most. I've had this tank a few months and all my cichlids were 1" to 1.5" except the firefish.

We were a bit surprised today as our male firefish was acting nuts. He was about 3-3.5" when we got him and the biggest in the tank. Not sure what type peacock the female is yet -I caught them at the end. :eek: Lake Malawi Cichlids - Firefish breeding 11-18-12 - YouTube

Very happy with the Aqueon Pro heaters. If you price them at Petco, they will be almost twice as much. I'd save the gift card for something else and try Ken's Fish or Amazon if you don't have a problem with online purchases. They have better prices compared to LFS.

I'm using 2x 750s in the 75g. One is pointing at the top-mid surface and one is at a low-mid creating a circular current motion. I turn them on twice daily for a couple hours. Like mentioned above, they do a great job sweeping debris from rocks, substrate etc.. plus my cichlids love swimming...
