I got it to come off all my plastic. It I went with a heavy vinegar/water mix. And let a lot of the stuff soak in it overnight

Wound up buying the tank and stand, and everything but his sand. Pics of it at his place. Dismantled here, sanding and painting the stand, cleaning the tank, etc.

I'm in the same boat with my tank. Bought a 75 gallon a d it was filthy. Not as bad as yours. Cleaned out the tank and sump. Sanded and primered the stand. While cleaning the tank some of the edges of silicone you could peak if you wanted. Mainly where the overflow is caulked in. It holds water...
