Thanks for the advice! I'm going to post a photo once my phone is charged.... I had one of my bumblebee platys die yesterday. Checked my levels and everything was fine, except my pH. It was at 8.2. Went into Petco today to get a refund, and they suggested a pH neutralizer since apparently 8.2...

Was worried about a missing bumblebee platy and found him when I did my waterchange :( all my parameters were fine, too :/

Well, all the platys with the exception of one survived the week. Levels are still where they are supposed to be, so I may be adding more fish in this week. My lfs has pretty much everything,,,so I'm a little overwhelmed on stocking. What would be another good schooling fish with the platys? I...

I make my husband lug buckets as well.

Well, cycle is complete so I added 6 platys. One mickey mouse, one sunset, two painted and two bumblebees. Also got a new plant :)

You could always use silicone before you place it in the tank to make it easier for placement :)

Finished scaping with slate and the plants I have.

Got my nitrite spike today. Finished adding slate. Planted the plants i had floating. Moved the betta to the 5.

So the ones that arent wisteria are growing roots out of the sides and not the bottom...

Kinda sounds like fin rot... What are your water parameters?

Checked levels on both tanks. Planted some of the wisteria that was floating to grow roots. Fed Fawkes. Stared at Fawkes dragging around the floating plants for an hour. Cleaned off some calcium build up.

Well...i came home to a betta in my tank today. My husband rescued it from walmart. O.o i wish i didnt have that platy waiting in the five gallon to be moved over or id just put him in there. :/

I switched out the substrate and decorations on my five gallon. Recyled my rock cave for the 29 gallon. :) Before After The 29g. Still cycling. :)

Theyre sturdier.

The wisteria is turning white and brown, and the other one is brown. But it's mostly towards where the plant meets the gravel. I went and bought API plant food from petco...could it be the fact there's no fish or nutrients yet since the tank is cycling?

It's a fishless cycle.

How do I tell if they're doing well? They're both getting kind of wilt-y.
