May be the problem was this... The four horns cowfish was tiny and the flow intense for it. The mounth is also very small and it has dificulty to eat even small grains. However it was going well and was not bothered by the others.But during just one nite has died,with more five fish .

I suspect that the pistol is the bad guy in my tank... I have no predators( algels, hogfish,cowfish,high hat)but all my hermits crabs desapeared and now, a small clown fish is also gone.

Some insecticides have ddt and rotenona in its composition.Rotenona is taken from a vegetable formely used by the southamericans for fishing. It's possible to kill an entire school of fishes and they still keep edible.

Another possibility could be a dead poison fish, like a tetrodon... At a yacht club I'm associate, someone was fishing at the pier and has hookek a tedrodon and put it in the aquarium ( a 100G tank).The wounded fish died and its venon has killed all others fishes.

The tank in your office, may be in a comercial building...Check if someone has applied some kind o insecticide. it happened to me long ago.

I 've tried to fight off the ciano algae for months, without success. So I installed a siphon on the drain line in order to keep the aspiration at the sand level,on the oposite side of the blowers( power heads). It is completely gone! Be sure of drilling a small hole at the top elbow, to avoid...

How dificult could be to keep a 3" mantis in a 90 g tank?The fishes in it are a Queen Angel, a High Hat (Ichetus), a Golden spoted eel, a Seargent Major and a Beau Gregory.Some hermit crabs and pistol shrimp.

Catfish lover got the reason... I had a severe infestation of brown algae until 3 weeks ago, when I 've travelled for 15 days...When I came back, they have disappeared. May be, a reduced feed procedure ,provided by the auto feeder have help.To much food improve algae.

Thanks a lot! The fish is in a stable 360 liters tank. It's apparentely feeding on flocks, but it can always be seen biting the rocks and bothering a Golden Moray Eel, may be removing parasites from its skin. So, I'll try to improve algae and sponges. Thanks again!

I've a goldenspotted eel in my 340 litres aquarium and the only thing that is eaten by it is shrymp without skin.In adition it seems to be blind, locating the pieces of food by its smell.Usually it picks the food from the tip of the pincer. Is someone successfull with other kind of food?
