I can't believe it's been over 6 years since I've been on this forum! After many years of traveling around the world thanks to the U.S. Marine Corps, I have firmly planted my roots (for now) in Philly and am ready to feed my aquarium addition again.

The tank (live rock and sand) is about 4 years old and well established. I have had it in my house for around 3 months now with only a clown fish and anemone in it, both are doing great so there is little bio load on the system as I am a firm believer in adding things very slowly to acclimate...

Unless you are dead set on buying new and picky about exactly what type of equipment you want, I would look into some local deals on used. I was able to pick up a 75gal that was completely setup and running, including the live rock and sand for $400. That left me with a lot of room to change out...
