This used to happen to me when I bought bags of salt. Humidity turned the salt into rocks and it took awhile for them to disolve. Since switching to the IO buket it never happened. Just switched to Oceanic and no problems either.

I use the an extra mj1200 for mixing water and then pumping it into the sump from my mixing container. You could use a smaller rio pump. They are not as popular , but they work well.
