I have a yellow tang in my 55 gal, years ago I had another one in the same tank. I've found out that they are aggresive to fish that have the same color and look like them, for example a yellow angel or butterfly fish. Of course this is from personal experience only, other people may be ok...

My clean up crew feed mostly from the rock . I personally never turn of any powerheads, still, food gets to the bottom. My crabs are also getting huge! 8O

My coral beauty loves green algae, from the rock and by the sheet. If you get one it will probably clean your rock squeaky clean :lol:

That's the same brand I bought. I paid $99 'cause mine is a 6-stage (not sure if this one is too). We've had it for 4 months and so far is doing great. We use the H2O for the tank and drinking. :D

The way I did it was to put all the rock in at the same time (cure and uncured) and do the cycle. After that then I added the sand. While the rock was curing I had all my equipment running, except the lights of course. Before adding the sand everything was turned off and waited for the sand...

Keep trying the joe's juice. I had one that survived 6 weeks in the dark while curing the live rock... 8O . Then I tried the joe juice and it didn't kill it the 1st time. So I put the syringe tip right inside the hole and gave it another shot. It died!! :D

I bought my 6 stage RO/DI system from ebay. The brand is Dvoneb and it was about $100. So far we had no problems and we use the water not only for the tank but for family drinking too. :D

My tang does the same thing, it's very shy and as soon as people get close it hides behind the rocks. :D

I just found this worm in my tank. It is about 8" long and as thick as say 3 hairs put together (weird example...I know). I tried to take it out but it kept 'shrinking' on me... 8O

I have one, it's quiet and had no problems with it so far. :D

The white stuff on the live rock is dead stuff, if it has been sitting in dry conditions then everything on the rock is probably dead (including the good) and I'm not sure if you can bring it back, you could use as base rock after a good cleaning. if it has been sitting in saltwater then is...
