Made the decision to purchase a phosphate reactor. Have a 90 gallon reef with mostly soft corals and a few fish. Does the inlet /outlet size make a difference? I'm undecided whether to purchase a 3/8 inch or 1/2 inch model. Any suggestions?

Having a hard time keeping tangs of different types. They always development lateral line or fin rot. Installed a ground probe before last addition(convict tang)and it still developed it. Heard carbon in the filter can cause this as well. Any truth to this?
