    I'm a bigginer with a 14gal biocube!!!

Hi. I have a tank slightly smaller than yours but from research i have done you will probably find that 2 clownfish is already too much for your tank. You have to remember that saltwater fish are fro the ocean so are used having large open spaces. Personally i would leave it with the 2 clowns...

    is it a wise idea?

The situation..... My 10gal has finnally cycled. My lfs has got tiny blue regal tangs. I know that generally these fish would be too big to live in my tank but i am going to get a much larger tank set up by aprox august next year. The question.... How long would it take for the tang to...

    new tank cycling

I used pellets to get ammonia initially. Then i was told to add a cuc. One of the snails died and i just left that in there to build up the ammonia. Other than that i have just added pellets every few days. I must have some nitrites because i i have nitrates at 20ppm but they have never been...

I have got live rock in there already my only worry is that i have a cuc of 3 hermits and 2 snails. I now know i would be better without them but i was advised to put them in by my lfs and since found it is a bad idea. To reword my original post: I know if i add more cured live rock i am...

    Newbie with a few questions!

i did read that i shouldnt change the water so i havent done any changes as of yet as it would remove some of the beneficial bacteria, i have changed my filter to see if this would help. It does make sense though if it reduces the ammonia, how often do you think i should be doing water changes?

    Newbie with a few questions!

Thanks Andrew, ammonia is at around1.0ppm sometimes slightly lower i believe thats ok but not too sure. I have not seen any nitrites but Nitates seem to be at about 10-20ppm. Do you think i need to take any action with regards to the health of my snails and crabs?
