I was just reading forum entries on a puffer website and it said after puffers are shipped, sometimes they will be all slimy do to being stressed. I know you said you've had him a year but maybe you want to try a de-stresser water additive?

I've read in few posts that you can feed your fishies vegetables. I have a Figi puffer and clown...is there any veggies I need to stay away from? What are the best veggies to feed my little monsters?

I am certainly no expert but maybe if you take the damsels out (put them in another tank for a couple of weeks?), move the stuff in your tank around, add new fish, and then re-introduce the damsels. maybe they will feel like the new kids on the block and won't beat up on your newer fish....

What kind of crab? I have reef hermit crabs and was hoping to get a blenny...are they not compatible?

I have gotten lucky with the smaller crabs...they are quick to go into their shells and then puffer just swims away. I lost two blue leg crabs, I think, because they were big and maybe not as cautious as the smaller crabs....BAD puffer!

I have some zebra crabs, red legged guys and then some that I think are just regular ol' reef hermits. And the snails that are disappearing: a Mexican turbo, some that I can't remember the name of whose shells kind of turn purply after awhile. I did test the water but my levels are fine and...

I have noticed that a lot of my snails are turning up dead. I just read in another post that the hermits may be eating the snails and it sounds like it may be a good idea to just stick with one or the other. Is it just personal preferance or is one better for cleaning tanks than the other...

M Fiji puffer does that, too. Scared the crap out of me the first few times until I realized it must be normal because he didn't die. I checked the ph level, etc and all was fine. So I guess they are just resting. And he needs it after eating my blue-legged crabs! Grrr!
