I have a smaller 58 litre tank 600x300x300mm It's going to have a sand base to this. Looking at what fish to go with? I am quite happy to go down the route of a small pleco or some cleaner fish and one type of fish. Any suggestions welcome as this tank is just going to be a small experimental...

Yea just filled it last night and added the stress coat and Zyme. It's one off eBay but not sure if it looks man enough to do 100ltr tank. It's rated for 300 Lph apparently

Is this normal? Didn't see this in when I setup my smaller tank? Does the filter need to be moved higher in the water?

I have a gold gourami and a dwaf with other fish but they are all around the same size or smaller. I did have 1 gold gourami that was agressive that i moved on but the others i now have a peaceful tank!

i have this to! I have only taken up fish keeping since the start of the year (2013) but already have brought a 2nd larger tank. Read tons on here and re-search thing and ideas. Becoming really taken into it and spend hours looking after the fishes!!

It's a wooden cabinet with 4 separate feet so this should throw the weight around more so. It's just maybe because its a bit higher than before that I notice the effects. Good to know others are ok though and cheers for your help. Across the pond, well where I am at least is wet!!

Hi guys, anyone with tank on laminate flooring found them to be ok? I just purchased and filled a new 26 gallon tank in the living room on laminate and there small movement when u walk around just slight flexing in the boards. Just wondered If other people have had this and found it to settle...

Is there any advantage with sand over gravel? Tank looks cool with it and really nice setup.

Does anyone have a calculation to figure how much roughly you would need for a tank. Reason I am asking is I am planning to make another tank up and don't want to go mad and buy to much gravel or buy to little and then have to go back for more! Sorry if this is a stupid newbie question!

It doesn't have a stone on it just the pipe coming into the bit so might try getting a stone and see How that works out with it. Just wondered If because it has a T peice that its blowing the way it does. Cheers for your help :-)

Well they seems rarther large yea would ideally like something with smaller bubbles as the ones it creates just looks just quite aggressive that's all

It's a 2 meter length with a check valve at the start about 6" from the pump and its a cheap one from eBay.

That's the odd bit as its all brand new and just installed. Other problems i have though might be is the air hose two long as I haven't trimmed it down so its 2 meters long or is it when the bit joints it has a T piece outlet so pumping two ways? Sorry for all the questions and cheers for your...
