If you can get a proven pair and clear up some room in the 20g, I think the rams would work. If you can make it happen you'll not regret getting them, they're a great fish to keep.

I've heard both sides of the excel/algae argument so I played it safe with the Fugeray. There are times I wish I had gone with the Ray2 just to see though. :)

I third the Finnex Ray 2 recommendation. I use the Finnex Fugeray on my 29 lowtech and I'm getting good growth so far with excel and liquid ferts (I, too, am thinking of switching over to dry ferts).

I have a dwarf gourami in my 15g column and he's awesome. That said, I'd take back the glofish if you plan to add any other fish. If you're lucky you can find a DG that will play nice with your guppies and call it a day. Maybe add a few shrimp?
