    Betta fun.

Move his decor around, or get something new. Some people float colored beads for them to play with. Show him his reflection in a mirror for a few minutes.

Help! what is this orange stuff in my tank?

Have you been feeding your Betta the little orange betta bites? If so, this is probably left over food that has fungus growing on it. If you think it is, just don't feed quite so much.

    Feeding Ghost shrimp

My ghosties eat everything you have for any other fish. Mine prefer betta bites to anything, but they like flakes and little pieces of any kind of bottom feeder wafer. They love blanched peas too. Hope that helps!

    Gold Nugget Pleco

Will do! My Emperor was shy too, now he is out a lot. Hopefully when he gets bigger he will be the same. My BN hides a lot, but ventures out more and more:)

    Gold Nugget Pleco

Yea, he is the only pleco in a 55 gallon corner bowfront. My research says he likes meat as well as veggies and driftwood, I have him in with my Angels and Zebra Danio and Corys, so they all eat meat too.

    Gold Nugget Pleco

So, I finally broke down and bought myself a Gold Nugget. I have an Emperor in another tank that I adore. The Gold Nugget is about 3 inches right now, I have spotted him in the tank a couple times today, but he is hiding well. So excited!!! I will try to get a pic when he isn't quite so shy...

    Cleaning advice

I use Rainex made for cars. I am very careful to only spray a little on an old washcloth. Helps keep water deposits from being hard to remove. I use this on all the glass in my house. Way better than Windex IMO

    Hello from Louisville, KY

Noahs Ark Hillview. I also like Pet Palace on the corner of Bardstown Rd and Goldsmith Ln. Oh, and Sandy's Pets off Hess Ln. They run awesome sales on rocks and wood too. Where do you go?

    School for Angels

Unfortunately, I am down to 2 panda corys. They were tiny, but the only ones I could find. The transition was too much for two of them. :(

Just For Fun: The Dumbest Mistake You Ever Made With A Tank

Actually, I just made mine tonight. I mean I have done some dumb things, but tonight tops them all. I'm new to the whole "water changer" python. I was draining about 30% of the water to add clean water. So when I turned the water in the sink off, I got distracted by my daughter for a few...

    Good cheap filter

If you are only using the crappy filter cartridge that comes with it, you can take it out. I haven't used any in years. Def get some bio rings or lava rock too. It all holds bb. Those cartridges are crap IMO

    Good cheap filter

Cheaper at walmart or a craft store. But it is awesome stuff! Water polishing pads cost a fortune and its the same stuff.
