Does that one ever show its black dot on the side. If yes and the blue sheen goes threw the black dot it's female. Looks like a slight hint of pink on the belly too.

You may need to wait till they are a little bigger to sex them. They seem to be very drab in colour. How long have they been in the tank?

Yes the rams will like the pot. If you have a male and female and they like the conditions you keep them in, they may breed for you.
I use coconut shells as they look more natural in the tank. Just drill a hole in it big enough for them to get into and your done.

Finally my fish came in today. 5 Apistogramma Cacatuoides. They are still small but they are loving there new home. I can't wait till they start breeding. Time to get my nursery tank up and running.

Yes I have read most of the of about it online 10mg per 8 Oz and so forth. I can test most of the parameters but not all. I will have to get it tested. I'm not sure if it sodium cloride or potassium that the land lord puts in. I will check with him.

Apistogramma agassizii do not like high Ph. They like more acidic water. Mine are at 6.7 Ph. if you have high Ph go with kribs they are a small African species.
