I changed my ph from 7.4 to 6.5...could a drop like that in ph lead to a bacterial bloom?

I have a 33 gallon tank and I use a fluval 404. I probably only open my filter once every 3 months for cleaning but the last one was around 3 weeks ago and it after i cleaned my filter i didnt notice any change. Usually i do a 20% water change. But last week i did 20% maybe 4 times.

My tank is about 6 months old now, but it seems like it is cycling again :s The water keeps getting more and more cloudy. I suspect it was because i did too many water changes last week because the only other thing i did was add a plant and an otto...could that have been the cause of it? Also...

Someone told me that it probably dropped so fast b/c i added to many fish at one time and too many feedings. Not sure if it was true but i slowed down on feedings and it helped, along with the crushed coral. When i tested that i brought a water sample into my LFS. Thats what they told me...

would using a diatom filter help my tank or would it just cause it to come back and for me to keep using my diatiom filter?

Ya i actually tested for the last 4 weeks There was some increases in ammonia, nitrites and nitrates but all went down Yup the glass is clean :) It actually went cloudy after a week, into the cycle and has just got worse....no its so cloudy you can probably only see maybe 6 inches in. :S:SS...
