Or I could move the featherfin. I can only have one knife per tank so moving the brown knife is not possible. The leaf is mainly messing with the feather fin. That's my main concern at this point.
He never bothered the ghost in the first place. The only reason the ghost was moved was because all the other fish ate his food. I wish my Bicher or water cow would just go ahead and eat him. Save me the hassle. Either way I have to do something. That leaf can't even fit in the bgk hiding place...
Well I'm at dead end right now. I'm having an issue with my spotted African leaf fish fighting my African feather fin cat fish and my African brown knife. The feather fin can hold his own as he's 7+ inches but it does kinda stress him out when the leaf is being retarded. Now the knife is just...
I wouldn't worry about him being as he feeds on algae and decaying plant matter. Just be sure he has algae to eat or algae waffers. I wouldn't think a galaxy pleco would suck on ur fish. It's mainly the common plecos that suck slime coat. Never really heard of any other species of pleco doing...
I'm late in this thread but the claims of plecos sucking the slime coat off fish is true. And they can also smell the stomach of other fish the I believe smells like algae to them. They will actually suck the stomach out. I know they like goldfish slime coat. Sucking on them when they sleep...
Transfer done. He went right into the cup. Put him in and he's swimming around threw the plant and actually tried to steal an algae waffer from a pleco. He's pecking at the moss balls. Much calmer tank. I really think he's going to be much happier. There was a 1 1/2 - 2 degrees diff on the tanks...
:) ima do it cuz those big guys are rough. Stirring up the gravel darting through the tank and stuff. Then when he's bigger ill probably put him in the 180 gallon when ever I move to a bigger house and set it up.
I shouldn't have to acclimate him. Both tanks are same. Exact same. He loves the net. I think instead of using the net ill lure home into a cup of some sort. That way he won't have to be caught and taken out of the water. Just dip the cup into the tank and then put the cup of him and water into...
Makes perfect sense. There's no where in the big tank for him to really hide. Due to the other fish size the knock over everything. He just stays behind the overflow or refugium intake. I just really think he'd love it in the 36 planted tank. Ima just leave him be I guess. He done fine for the...
That's what I'm thinking. I really don't want him to die by stress. I just know he would love my planted tank. I'll just have to resist transferring him.
I even go with a Pictus as well. As long as u keep good water conditions and keep them healthy then I wouldn't worry about the ich. Keep him in a holding tank for a bit to be safe. Even feeding them garlic would be a good idea to prevent disease and parasites.
So iv got my 36 gallon with plants in it now. Iv got two little Cory cats and a bristle nose and a clown plec. Anywho I have my 125 right next to it. I wanna move my little black ghost knife over there instead because all the other fish devour the food and its hard to feed him in there. So I'm...
Hey guys I'm new to dwarf hair grass and I'm going to try this whole planted tank thing. I have a 36g bow front thats going to be all plants. I have some hairgrass that I just bought running in my AC 110 that I made into a refugium. It's running some intense lighting. Question is what is the...
On a side note here's a pic of my African feather fin that I raised from a tiny baby. He survived a bad internal parasite not to long ago. Took everything in the book to save him. He looked awful. But now he's super happy and very healthy. He's aprox 7 inches I think. I have long hands.
There are 2 different kinds of them. The marbled goby is a totally diff fish. I think your talking about the marbled sleeper aka Oxyeleotris marmorata. Mine is a eleotris picta. I really can't find much info on my species. I know both are in the same family. I know my has the strip and the other...
