    I had tried to research them but didn't have much luck. I figured with having problems with aiptasia anemones it would be my luck to have some other critter getting ready to take over the as well. Thanks for the info.

    Looks like a Corn Cob Linckia starfish. Check out aquacon.com under invertebrates in the starfish section they have a pic there.

    I am new to saltwater tanks and realize I have a lot to learn. I have a 40 gallon tank with live sand, live rock and base rock. Tank has been set up for about 2 months, no fish yet, been letting tank cycle. I believe by the water parameters that it is ready for fish but I have a couple of issues...
