    Cichlid forum division?

Understandable. I'm not fussing over it anymore, just would have made things very nice and tidy! oh well... cheers to trying! :)

    Cichlid forum division?

Very polite. Sorry for being new to a forum and suggesting a valid idea. A good idea is a good idea no matter where it comes from. If you don't have African or South American cichlids, this discussion doesn't affect you. But for those people that do have these fish we basically want nothing to...

    Cichlid forum division?

I'm happy to see people agree with me. I think the sole reason theres not much traffic in the cichlid section is because they're lumped together when the communities have nothing in common and many fans of one genre have zero interest in the other, like Oscar said and I agree! This is one of the...

    Cichlid forum division?

I get that theres not much traffic in the section, but I myself opted not to post (or even register) for a long time due to the category not being split. No one wants to sift through stuff that doesnt apply to them in order to read threads that do fit their genre. A simple split or division...

    Metriclima Callianos OB "Blueberry"

I've had mine for over a year without many problems at all. The male can get a bit rough during breeding time, but for the most part that aggression only goes towards the females of his species. He seems to leave the other species alone besides an occasional "get outta my cave!"

    Cichlid forum division?

Hi, I'm fairly new to posting on this forum, but have been reading for easily over a year. The one thing I don't understand is the "Cichlid Discussion" category. The sticky on the thread says the Cichlid Discussion has opened for a trial run.... in 2006. Thats 7 years ago! I'm pretty sure the...

    Metriclima Callianos OB "Blueberry"

Next on my species list is one of my favorite, the Metriclima Callianos OB "Blueberry". These fish are monomorphic, so the males and females of the species stay the same color. They get fairly large, topping off at around the 5" mark, and are very peaceful, making them another great addition to...

    Next up are the females!

    Metriclima Msobo Magunga

Next of my species to be introduced to the forum are the Metriclima Msobo Magunga! These fish are a perfect addition to a large (55g minimum) african cichlid tank. I say large because these fish get up to around the 5-6" mark and have a tendency to get a bit aggressive during breeding time. As...

    My Jalo Reef Afras!

I'm new to the forum so I figured the best first few posts would most likely be a couple pictures of my species! These are my Cynotilapia Jalo Reef Afra African Mbunas. As you can see in the pictures, the male develops a brilliant blue body with vertical black stripes and a beautiful yellow...

    Hi Everyone!

Just wanted to introduce myself a bit and say hello to my fellow fish addicts! I have read this forum for quite some time, so I figured itsabout time to join the discussions!
