Hello! I am looking to purchase a new led fixture, and I was wondering if there is an ideal number of kelvin for a planted tank. I've heard anywhere between 5,000K and 10,000K is good, but is there a certain number that is ideal? Is it just personal preference? Thank you!

You could also get a Build My Led Fixture and buy a dimmer, so that you can start with low-medium light, and move to high light if you want to. Hope this helps! :thumb:

I personally think that carbon is not necessary in an aquarium, but this is a debatable topic. I would use things like sponges/foam or bio media in the place of carbon. I've also heard good things about something called Seachem Purigen.

Most shrimp have a bio-load next to nothing. Like was previously said, you can pretty much have however many you want, but space could be an issue if you had too many (like 100)

How often do the root tabs need to be replaced? And is PPS pro still a good idea with root tabs and eco-complete?
