    Firemouth breeding.

I got 2 fire mouths at the shop. And one got nipped right away, but recently the nipped fish has recovered, and it seems like they have paired off. Is there a trick to spotting a female?

    convicts

I'd consider only putting 2 they will pair. They will reek havoc on your other fish. I had 2 pairs and the spawned at the same time on separate parts of my tank. They killed my 6 inch oscar... And had everyone else at the surface to avoid their protection efforts.

    Is my oscsr dying?

I have a 7 inch oscar(beautiful fish) when I came home he was freaking out, jumping out if the tank, splashing water all over the place, crashing into things. Now there is a decent gash on the top of his head, and his colors have gotten bland and his white stripes are showing(submissive) it...

    Frontosa w Peacocks?

I have a frontona mixed with several peacocks. They are great together. Frontosa is always just chillin. The peacocks seam to be growing faster than the frontosa. Check out livefishdirect.com they have some super cool peacocks. Just kind of expensive for shipping.

Moving breeding convicts to a 50 gallon with a firemouth?

I have a breading pair about the same size as yours, they are with an almost 6 inch Oscar, 4.5 inch jack Dempsey, a silver cat fish, a far and 2 turtles. And they have no problem raising fry. They own their section of the tank. Skip the breeder box. I sucked out all the fry, took about 45...
