I Have 3 Goldfish in a 40 g tank, one being a Black Moor. Ive noticed a large "Bump or Wart" looking thing only on one side by his gills. Eating & Swimming fine. All other fish are fine except Comet goldfish losing a few scales in isolated areas. Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

Tyvm. I work 12 -14 hrs a day so hard to tell if or when it potties. Swimming with other fish, eating fine, just very bloated looking & found it odd it was only that one fish. Seems to gradually be getting bigger but cld a fish have eggs for a month or so b4 laying ? Sent from my iPhone...

They look absolutely beautiful, & not knocking u by no means cause i hate it when ppl do it to me, but wldnt some type of flowering, ornaments, gravel, sand ect do them some good so they would be at "home". ?

Yes, thank you, been much help. Im using a dual LED light strip with a timer set on 8 hour intervals. Normally will turn on the blue moon lights at night for a couple hours b4 bed to relax and enjoy watching the fish. Ive never scrubbed out my filter housing even though it desperately needs it...

Im fairly new to the hobby but assuming common plecos. Got them about.. Maybe 9 or 10 months ago about 2-3 in long. Now look like stingrays lol, 8-9 in long and constantly pooping?. So id say commons.

I just done a 90 % WC, im going to keep an eye on levels throughout week, and cut back on feeding and hope this fixes it. Water was clear, all fished seemed fine but levels weren't. Odd levels with 7 month old tank with at least 20% wc.

Yes the test and proper timing is being done with API test kits. Im adding ammonia because I will be back at 0 within 24 hrs. Where it going with 0 nitrites & 0 nitrates..idk.
