    help me get started please

I think Voshon is referring to using your refugium for an injured fish not to hokd new acquisition....this practice is used especially when you have something new in yiur QT already. If the fish is showing signs of aliment you definitely dont wont to treat it in your sump

    help me get started please

For a qt tank I would probably say a minimum of 20 you dont want anything to be cramped up for 2-4 weeks On the clowns from the research I have done I like them too. They are hardier when captive bread over wild caught but are tolerable either way

Need advice BEFORE I set up!

It is my understanding that if you have adequate amount of live rock(1.5-2lbs for total system water volume sump included), or base rock that has gone through the curing process bio balls are no longer needed. Also bio balls have the potential to build into nitrate factories if not maintained...

    New build! Which Skimmer ?

Im not an expert by any means but from everything I have read the skimmer is something you don't want to skimp out on. And reef octopus tends to be the way most people say to go I'm about to irder one real soon. What kind of lights are you all running?
