I currently use a canister on my 75. I have a ehim 2217 and it seems like it's not that good other then the 1st day or two after I clean it. I see fish good floating by it and not getting sucked in. I'm kinda hesitant to go with another canister. I was thinking more of a wet/dry filter. It seems...
Basically is there any difference between a 75 gallon and a 250 gallon other then the size and volume of water? Obviously the equipment is going to need to handle it. I want to know fully what I'm getting into.
Yea I love how they look when they are fully grown. Discus from what I understand are way to delicate for me. Maybe in the future but for now I would like a big African tank.
Hey guys, I currently own a 75 gallon and will be upgrading to a 200-300 gallon tank for my African Cichlids. I have of idea of what I will be getting into but would like to hear from you guys. All advice is greatly appreciated.

I know. I was listening to everyone doing 50% everyday. I couldn't understand why it wouldn't cycle. I'm not telling you to do this but that's what I did suggested by my LFS (which is on tv).
That app is called aquaplannerPro. It's a good app for getting started and keeping track of your stock.
I had the same issue you had when I was trying to cycle my tank. I went against everyone's advice and went with the advice of my LFS. Stop doing water changes. Your numbers will spike. You might lose some fish. ( I didn't lose any) once I stopped doing water changes the numbers spiked and...
