I have a 20 gallon tall. The filter (which I intend to upgrade soon) is a tetra whisper 20 power filter. It moves 105gph. I also have a bubble wand and ornament running too if that makes a difference.

How soon after a water change can you test the water with the API kit and get correct results? Thanks!

Thanks for the info. I'm trying the heat/gravel vac water change approach first. I will use salt or meds as a last resort.

I'm battling ich too. I read on multiple sites that you can't use salt if you have oto's in your tank. What do you guys think? I just noticed it today so I bumped up my heater and did a w/c. I've been advised to change the water every other day using gravel vac to suck up the spores before they...

Here are two close ups of the girl in question. Is it too soon to put her in the box? Earlier the other fishies were swarming her, they normally don't bother her at all. I just want everyone to be safe and happy!
