Do a water change immediately. I would say maybe a 30 percent water change. Don't follow the assumption that if things look good then you don't need to do anything. Start doing weekly water changes and you should see some improvement. I would say 15 percent or even more weekly for a while.

I just got it a few days ago. The tank b is one gallon with no filter, just a heater. It is an elephant ear betta and I didn't want too much flow in the tank. All my parameters are at zero.
