Well, the DBT is still falling out. It almost looks like the shrimp are pulling it up. Anyone ever have that problem?

    Established HC Carpet Falling OUt

It was going beautifully until about 2 weeks ago. I'm thinking that the lower part of the plants was not getting enough light and maybe started to die off. Is that a possibility?

    Established HC Carpet Falling OUt

The carpet has been well established with CO2 and glut. I have LED and t5 HO at 10000 and 6500. High light, high tech, daily ferts.

    Established HC Carpet Falling OUt

I have an established carpet of Dwarf Baby Tears and in the last 3 weeks it has been yellowing and falling out. Pieces of it are floating all around my tank. I noticed that it was getting pretty thick and the part closest to the substrate was yellowing, so I trimmed it back. I thought maybe...

    Background Plant for 30g

Hygrophila corymbosa looks about right. Thanks for the replies. Those plants are beautiful, Rivercats, but a little to similar in color and texture to what I have in the tank now. I need a bushy, full green plant.

    Found dead shrimp on floor

Airline, jump... Semantics. Either way, it flipped it's body out of your tank and a cover may help.

    Found dead shrimp on floor

I've had a few fish jump out. My cat enjoys the little snack. You can always get a cover if you are really concerned.

    Found dead shrimp on floor

It jumped out. Shrimp are pretty good jumpers. It probably got startled and accidentally jumped out of your tank. Fish will do the same thing.

    Background Plant for 30g

I am looking for a nice, thick background plant for my 30g. I want something green that fills in nicely. I have red cabomba and ludwigia, so I am looking for green. I have a well lit tank with pressurized CO2 and I dose PPS-Pro. Pretty good fish stock as well, but all community and no...

    Need Advice from Planted Veterans

I have as well, I'm just saying that it is not ideal. One of each gives you the best of both worlds - the 10000 to give the tank a good look and provide the plants with most of what they need, and a 6500 to provide the rest. I also prefer the look of the 10000, so I run one of each on my tanks.

    Need Advice from Planted Veterans

You can scrap the acitinic bulbs and 10000k is a little high as well. 6500k is pretty ideal for a planted tank. Maybe swap out one of the acitinics for a 6500k and leave the other open or run one 10000k and one 6500k. Good luck! Sounds like a good set up. How about some pics?

What kind of snail is this?

Could be either and, either way, it doesn't really matter. All that matters is that they are harmless, self limiting, reproduce when there is food around, and can be controlled with assassins, loaches, or removed manually.

What kind of snail is this?

Bladder snail. Get a couple of assassins and watch them disappear...

How to plant Broad leaf ludwigia?

To disinfect, put it in a 19:1 water:bleach solution for 5 minutes. Rinse well and soak in a solution of Prime and water (extra prime). Rinse again and plant as stated above. I don't believe that these will need root tabs. Mine are growing like crazy without.
