    Still in planning stage. Yea sump is a big plastic tub with external pump that's y the HOB . Ok cool so just let it cycle with the tank then?

    I've been doing my reading filter wise as of now going with sump and a good skimmer. I'm going to do all dry rock it's cheaper and to cycle is longer but I'm in no rush. Also planning on a HOB refugium on my sump in the future once I got it running. Don't know if u wanted to do a canister...

    Want to do a HOB refug on my sump to start my pods. Is this a good to start and to maintain a good pod population? Not going to start it till my tank had been going for 6 months or more. I'm playing on getting the biggest refug that can fit on my sump saw one like 24" long

    Thanks this is helping to too I want to do the same for my 79g bow. Do all the research I can now before I start. This is going to be my first reef tank and first tank in about 12 years. A lot has changed since then!
