I bought my live rock from Tampa Bay slat water...it is AWSOME. One rock has a large brain coral on it...how close to the surface should braon coral be?? (how close to the MH is to close) they are 250 watt MH Scott- smetzlerpp

I have a 90 gal reef and I just put a dual 250 watt metal halides on it, I also have 2 compact flor. with 50/50 bulbs in them....how long should the metal halides run for...can they run too long?...right now they are on about 10 to 11 hours, and the corals and inverts seem ok with it. but i'm...- smetzlerpp
