ID small flat round green algae

I searched all over the internet and this forum but couldn't find any info or matches for what's growing on several pieces of my LR. At first I thought they were zoas but they are more leafy. They are very small, are green flat and round with a light green almost white center. Thanks

    29g biocube stocking advice

Thanks for the tips. I've researched on liveaquaria and other sources. I like the chromis and read similar advice but not when starting with less. So it's good to get confirmation on getting one. I thought that 2 different clowns would not do well together?

    Worms! Good or Bad?

I believe that they are digitate hydroids :( I've been target killing them with boiling water per advice I've read. I hope it doesn't get out of control and start harming my coral. My tank is only about 2 months old and it would be sad if they take over, especially since this is my first...

    Did I kill my coral?

They are a zoa covered rock and an alveopora. I just got home and some of the zoas are looking ok. Part of the alveopora has some polyps that are extended a little. Hopefully they will perk up. I understand it can take a few days. The alveopora is going back to the LFS though since I learned...

    Did I kill my coral?

After dipping new coral in Coral Rx, I accidentally did a quick rinse in plain RO instead of saltwater. I had to leave my house so I'm not sure how they are doing. I'm in a panic though that I might have killed them. Did I?

    Worms! Good or Bad?

Hers a pic of the ones that are in my tank. I removed this skeleton but later they showed up on other rocks. I'm not sure if the pic is clear enough to ID but they are about 3" long, a thin as a strand of hair, appear to be white, have smaller feather like strands coming off of the main strand...

    Worms! Good or Bad?

I think they are digitate hydroids based on pictures I found on what seem to be reputable sites. And of course the info about what to do or not to do with them is conflicting.

    Worms! Good or Bad?

There is so much conflicting information out there making it quite difficult for newbie reefers like me. Plus it's so hard to ID the critters, even with picture references. I researched further and saw some posts on forums that claimed that similar critters were hydroids.

    I don't think they're aiptasia

Thanks @mr_x for your advice. They've been plucked, scrubbed and I even put some aiptasia x on just in case. Now it's a waiting game to see if they come back or pop out somewhere else.

    Worms! Good or Bad?

@callen I went to my LFS today and they believe I have spaghetti worms. They pointed out some in their tanks and they look the same. I'm not sure if the ones in your tank are as well.

    I don't think they're aiptasia

Thanks for the quick reply. So they're bad :( The info on these is all over the place on how to get rid of them. I think they are only on the one rock. If I took it out and bleached the rock would that kill them?

    I don't think they're aiptasia

Please tell me these brown things aren't aiptasia. The attached pic is the closest I can get. Thanks

    Small leafy green algae?

Cool. So then they're not bad. Thanks!

    Worms! Good or Bad?

I have them too and have not gotten anyone to ID them. I forgot to check at my LFS the last time I was there but will ask the next time I go.

    Small leafy green algae?

Can anyone ID what is growing in my tank? It's on some of the live rock. I'm hoping it's good. Thanks

    Vermetid snails?

I hope I'm not replying twice but I don't see my last response. So I apologize if I'm duping. I found more around the tank tonight. I hope they were there yesterday and that they didn't multiple that quickly (seems impossible) since I wasn't scrutinizing as closely last night. I did some...

    Vermetid snails?

I definitely see several spread around the tank. This site (http://www.lionfishlair.com/hitchhiker/hitchhiker.shtml) has a nice overview of hitchhickers. It's really hard to see the details of the critter in my tank to know exactly if it's represented on the list since most are magnified. I'm...

    Vermetid snails?

I'm brand new to reef keeping having my tank for just about a month. I have experienced aiptasia and bristle worms. And now I'm wondering if I have vermetid snails. There was one piece of skeleton coral that had several white thin feather-like strands comming from it. And one or two pieces of...

When to top off with saltwater vs plain RO?

I'm a newbie so please be gentle :) I know that I'm supposed to use plain RO water when topping off evaporated water. But I am going to be getting some new coral this weekend and between the acclimation and dipping processes I will probably be removing about 2-3 gallons of water from my tank. I...

    Hitchhikers in new 29G biocube

I'm definitely not throwing away the LR, especially since it cost a couple hundred. I also understand that the LR comes with, well, live critters and that's what I paid for. If aiptasia are common then I will deal with them. Once the water parameters are good I will get a peppermint shrimp and...

    Hitchhikers in new 29G biocube

I bought Aiptasia-X and applied on the aiptasia I was able to find. The largest one (which was not too large) took the dose and definitely imploded. The others were small and hard to target. So I'll see how well it took I guess in a few days or so. Thanks again for all who replied with advice.

    Hitchhikers in new 29G biocube

Oh boy I'm not very encouraged. It seems like I'll never be rid of them totally especially if I can't get to where they are not seen (against the tank wall or in spots I can't reach or see). Should I bring the rock back to the store, demand a refund, and start all over? Or is the damage done...
