I jut got back from a trip to Tennessee and close to my hotel was this creek with some cool rocks so I took some and made a few caves with them in my 55gal. I think it looks neat but I might rearrange it to where I can see into the other cave a bit more.

They're moving around a bit more now that my nitrate level went down to 20ppm but they're still not as active as usual so I'm going to test my water temp an get a heather cause I'm thinking its a bit cold in there

You think so? That would make sense because my nitrate and getting lower and lower and my ammonia is at 0 so it can't be that. I'll get a new heater and see. thank you!

I did another water change and they're actually moving some! I think it was just nitrate shock or something. I'm still at around 30ppms but it came down from 40ppms and they can feel it hah . I'm gonna do another water change tomorrow and get a tank thermometer.

My nitrate was very high, at like 40. Then I did a water change but it only went down to about 30 . I did one this morning and am waiting for everything settle so I can test it again. But each change had no affect on their behavior. Even my platys which are normally closer to the top of the tank...
