I decided to buy this 3-1 power head to aid my water chemistry and to prevent future fish disease. I just wanted to know if this is a good powerhead and do blood parrot cichlids like moving water? What else can I install to prevent disease?

Return the two, up the number of platies to 3, keep the cories, and create a place like a cave for the rams and another for the pleco.

I'd suggest you start with Anubias first to get it settled into the driftwood then add the java moss as they can tangle the plants up that are not fairly rooted down.
