    Thanks Fishfur! My pH is around 6.8 and my GH is around 4. Will raising my pH by .2 really make that much of a difference? Since my GH is right where it should be, I don't think that I need to do anything with it. I use spring water. Could this be part of the problem? I like your recommendation...

    Thanks for your reply. The ph of my tank water is around 6.8 and the ph of my tap water is around 7.8.
