I'm running a fluval fx5 on my fowlr and I have particles floating in my tank. My question is do you think I need to change my sponges cause it gets really bad on the intake and the sides if the tank. So should I replace all the sponges and don't do a water change for a week?

He's good now I guess it just took a couple days to get use to the tank!!

I also have a 20 setup in my sons room with a aquaclear 50 and a powerhead.

I'm using ick away but a friend just told me to turn the heat up and leave it alone as if it was a Freshwater.

I qt the fish in a 20 gallon and I'm leaving it in there and I'm treating my main display now to get rid of the ick

I also did a freshwater dip for 2 minutes and that clear just about all the spots off its body!!

Should I keep my UV sterilizer running while treating the tank?

I've just recently as of 3 weeks ago added 5 green Chromis and they're ok but everytime I buy Angels the developer ich!!

They've in my tank for months and show no symptoms of nothing though!!

I notice the difference already with how dirty the foam is and also no film on top of the water thanks a lot.

I did it lastnight and tonight the foam is dirty so I guess it working it just has to foam to the top now.

So basically take the knob out and how about the water flow should I open that all the way?

How low should I tune it?
