raising percula clown larvae in the parent tank

Innovator, I never thought of this until your post, but I do have a removable surface in the tank that they can spawn on. BUT it's alittle out-in-the-open, they always spawn on the glass behind the LR where it's more "private". Humm...just a thought, may be I'll move it to behind the LR and...

raising percula clown larvae in the parent tank

Thanxs Innovator - that was sort of what I was afraid of. I have experience at raising cichlids and I had to gravel clean the tank everyday - not something I can do for the sw tank. I do have a removable surface that they can spawn on but they choose not to use it but rather to spawn on the...

raising percula clown larvae in the parent tank

Hi: I've had my two percula clowns in the same 20gal tank (no other fish) now for some 4 years. They started spawning last June and I've finally taken the time to culture my own microalgae and zooplankton and I'm now prepared to feed the larvae. My question is: what are the problems/dangers...

    Calcium levels for Berghia Verrucicornis

I'm been adding just a tiny bit of calcium each day and I just took my reading and it's up to 400ppm (the kit only measures in increments of 50ppm). I think I'm ready for some berghia?

    Calcium levels for Berghia Verrucicornis

awesome calculator. I think I'm gonna start applying very small doses of calcium until I get above 400ppm and then order the Berghia (stuff is expensive - $24.99 a pop)

    Calcium levels for Berghia Verrucicornis

Thanxs Steve for the info. My params are pH=8.2, salinity=1.024, calcium=350ppm,alk=180ppm. I bought Kent's Turbo-Calcium: do you have that link where it tells you how much Turbo-Calcium you need to add to go from 350 to 425? Thanxs!

    Calcium levels for Berghia Verrucicornis

I was wondering, in particular, if my low calcium level of 350ppm would adversely affect Berghia?

    Calcium levels for Berghia Verrucicornis

I have a 20gal tank infested with aiptasia and found out one of the nudibranchs (berghia verrucicornis) love to eat aiptasia. Just wondering if they have any special requirements like desired calcium levels, desired sg & pH & temp levels, etc. Thanxs!
