    RedSea Reefer 425XL

I’d just make up fresh batch of water personally, but you’ve kept the rock in a different system with the fish right? If so then it should be more than enough to support the same bio load you had, if adding more rock I’d give that time to populate with bb before adding any new live stock though.

The Kessils should be fine with 2 as I believe they can cover about 2 feet squares and you can always add the 3rd once you get heavier into the sps or feel that you need it

    clown fish

A male will change to a female if there’s not one present or the female dies. But once they’re female they’ll stay female, and 2 dominant females will fight. Some female clowns are just mean, mines killed 2 males and she will be a solo clown for the rest of her life.

    nano algae

I highly doubt that a rock flower could eat a porcelain crab live or dead, there mouths aren’t that big. Mine will literally hang out in my biggest flower nem while it catches food no problem, I’ve even seen it close completely around it. Could be a piece of a molt or the crab died and was eaten...

What was the salinity of the new water? And the tank pre change? I’m hoping you meant 1.017 too

20g cube : A Reintroduction to the Reef

No I’ve not had any split, but I did have a couple spawning incidents, but I’ve only ever found 1 baby.

    Compatibility in New Tank

I wouldn’t keep any wrasses with a mandarin, they are both constantly hunting for food and the wrasse will easily out compete the mandarin for pods. You’ll also need to regularly supplement pods to the tank for a mandarin too. I would also choose a cleaner shrimp or 2 over the peppermints but...

What order do I add fish?

A pleco will do nothing to help control algae, snails will help a little bit. I always start with whatever I feel is the hardiest fish first. With your list I’d start with a school of cories or neons, though neons aren’t really the hardiest of tetras.

    Which Fish?

Look like female bosemani to me.

I still see a flowerpot, need a better pic. Not off the top of my head, but the names can be different region to region too

    ID needed for SPS frags

I’d say 1,2,4 look like montis, 3 looks like a gonipora to me

A good FIRST “Single Betta / Tiny Bowl” Setup while building a larger system

What did I say that’s “un civil” to you? All I did was give you the truth which you don’t want to see. And now it appears that you think it’s ok to be cruel to something if it’s free? Your on a forum for ETHICAL fish keeping, sorry for telling you the truth but nothing belongs in a bowl, or in...

    Sand enclosure in gravel tank

I’ve seen this done in bare bottom sw tanks for certain types of fish. Once the sands been in the tank a while it’ll develop a biofilm and won’t blow around much.

A good FIRST “Single Betta / Tiny Bowl” Setup while building a larger system

It’s cruel to keep a fish in a tiny bowl, that’s not an opinion it’s a fact. You’ll not get anyone giving you a different answer here. From reading all your posts your plan isn’t a good idea. Multiple people tell you that the tank is to small for one beta and you continue to plan on multiple...

Nothing should be kept in a bowl honestly.

    Bribos rebooted 20 nuvo

Looks good, clam looks awesome very jealous. I think bubble algae is my most dreaded nuisance algae, can be such a pain, and everyone that doesn’t know much about reefs that sees your tank seems to love it, like it’s some crazy coral.

    Intro #2, The Coherent Version

I really wouldn’t put more than a beta in a tank like that, or you could go designer shrimp but that would require some live plants and substrate and eliminate the beta.

Must i use air stone for yellow lab?

No it’s not assuming you do weekly water changes or have surface agitation. But your going to have a bigger problem with aggression and water quality as 1 of them doesn’t belong in a 5G let alone 4.

    New Fish HELP

You’re really overthinking this, with a 20g tank it’s not that hard. It’s simple math, if your ammonia or nitrite is to high then do the corresponding percentage change on the tank to get the levels down. Let’s say 1ppm for both nitrite and ammonia, then a 75% change or 2 50% changes will get...

What should I be expecting to set up a 10 gallon reef tank?

You could look into flower men’s, they stay smaller and usually don’t bother corals and are less demanding. They won’t host a clown obviously but mine do host a porcelain crab, and would probably host anemone shrimp.

    How’s everyone’s tanks doing?

Oh don’t worry, that’ll change, does for everyone
  25. BigRedsReefs10

What should I be expecting to set up a 10 gallon reef tank?

I wouldn’t do a pair of clowns in a 10, but 1 and a shrimp goby, or other small perching goby would be doable. In terms of maintenance there’s really no difference between a 10 and a 100 other than the importance of daily top offs which take 30 seconds, 10-20% or more weekly water changes and I...
