What I do is: make sure the chamber, where the water swirl is, is full of micro bubbles from top to bottom. I empty a good amount of skimate every week. It's a sludgy brown green color. Just tinker with it
They require some fine tuning with the air mixture. Your air hose should have a screw valve on the end. Play with that thing until you get the right mix. I have a Jebo thing. Everyone says they're garbage, but mine works like a champ
I'd imagine any of them would work, but it's dependent on what top you have on the tank. Personally I'd move your tank off the wall. A lot of work, but probably necessary
I have a 55 gallon sw tank and run a hob filter and a hob protein skimmer with 2 power heads and roughly 70lbs of live rock. With your 75 a similar setup would be sufficient.
It's doable if the tank is big enough. But there would have to be plenty of room for the shark to maneuver. I've seen them in reef tanks but not in anything less than 700g
I'd try tomorrow. Mine ate on day 2. I used a shrimp skewer to dangle a piece of shrimp in front of him. Squeeze the shrimp over the water getting the scent in the water. He'll "wake up" and start moving......then put it in front of him. I would get him used to eating like this so he doesn't...
Patience grasshopper. Looking at your latest pic, it's gonna be soon. With the direction his head is facing I would flip the egg over so when he comes out he's head down
Idea!!! I have an idea!! Take your voltage meter to your LFS and test one of their tanks. I know it's only .7 but I gotta think that any current is too much. I'd test mine, but I'm not home right now
I wouldn't do that yet......... Have you introduced any live stock into the tank with everything turned off? I'd turn EVERYTHING off and see what happens.
The silicone is the only other thing that it could be. Unless the prolonged exposure to the voltage did something to the rock? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?
I truly believe you have an electrical current flowing through your DT. It can be subtle enough that you wouldn't feel it. I would turn everything off and introduce a fish (net at the ready) and observe from there. Makes no sense to me that your QT and DT have same water but one tank is toxic...
Thanks! I especially like this quote:
I have one last word of advice. Remember that we are just talking about removing a fish from an aquarium. These are animals with a brain anywhere from the size of a BB to a pea. Allowing one to outsmart you is a disgrace to the human species. When making...
