    Think this is ick?

thanks...everyone. Cynic, actually 4 clown loaches..yes, yes I do. Do you desire to counsel me on the growth rate/tank size of both of these fish? I am well aware so I will save you time. The clowns were maybe an inch when I got them a few months ago, maybe 1.5 now. The pleco is growing very...

    Think this is ick?

One other thing I forgot to mention, I live in Hawaii so my tank runs at 80-82 always, never less. I read that high temp kills it off, so that is why I am not sure..

PWC to lower temp in tank, how much

Just trying to figure out where people stand on this. I have a 55g that reaches about 83 during the day (no heater) and 81 by night. It looks like it is stressing some of the fish out a bit, pretty warm. My water parameters are perfect, finally cycled. When doing a water change, 30% I plan on...

    Diamond Blend in canister filter

My question, can you just add this to the media tray or should you bag it in nylon? I was looking at the canister, and it seems like it will be ok. I have a Marineland C-220 and 360.

Fish-in Cycling: Step over into the dark side.

New Neon Tetras - Normal Behavior?

It seems like the guppy is intimidating them. My neons were babies when I got them and pretty shy...I had 2 females danios that bullied them so I brought them back..they have been doing great since. That's just my opinion..I don't think they are sick..

Fish-in Cycling: Step over into the dark side.

How long does this take before you get nitrites and nitrates? I broke the rule with how many fish, but still maintaining amm around .5 with daily water changes around 30-40%. The fish are all happy and tank has been up a month. Tank details are in signature...yes, I know, a lot of fish...it has...

API Master Kit for total, but I have the Seachem Ammonia Alert as well...I am not using Prime to reduce ammonia. I am using it for the water conditioner. I am doing daily water changes. Using Prime, now high ammonia

I will accept that, however...the missing link here is why when I shifted to Prime did it start doing that? Those fish have been going for at least 2 weeks..and I finally had a grasp on it until Prime was introduced to the equation.

    Using Prime, now high ammonia

I have a newer tank, up and running a month now. I was using Tetra AquaSafe+ for my conditioner. About 2 weeks ago I got a big spike in ammonia and used AmmoLock for a few days with water changes. It finally calmed down, but I am still doing 30% water changes daily and stopped using AmmoLock...
