How Many Dwarf Puffers and Otos in a 25G

I do have driftwood in there currently and was planning to feed them algae wafers every other day since there isn't much algae. Would that be enough?

How Many Dwarf Puffers and Otos in a 25G

Hello all, I was able to safely rehome my Endlers in my main aquarium so now it is empty of fish and ready for the Dwarf Pea Puffers. The aquarium is 25 gallons. How many Dwarf Pea Puffers should I buy? I know they like to shoal so I am trying to get the numbers just right. I would also...

Dwarf Pea Puffer with Black Bar Endlers?

I am currently running a 25 gallon planted aquarium (pictured below) with F1 Black Bar Endlers. I would like a new challenge as I have been breeding these F1 Black Bar Endlers for 4-5 years now and am really liking the Dwarf Pea Puffers. I am seeing some conflicting online information on them...

    For Sale: Black Bar Endlers

After breeding Black Bar Endlers for the past 4-5 years I would like a new challenge. I think I settled on Dwarf Pea puffers and I know those need to be in a species only aquarium. So with that I need to rehome the Endlers I have. I am uncomfortable shipping these fish so does anyone live in...

Do you mind posting a link to that page? I would love to read it.

    Fertilizer Question/BBA Issues

I would say it is three to four years old. It is the Seachem Flourite substrate. I do a decent job of vacuuming the top layer, but since it is planted I can't go much deeper.

    Fertilizer Question/BBA Issues

Currently I do a 50% water change weekly, plus a major cleaning every six weeks (breaking down filters, etc.). I have always been worried about feeding my fish less because I have babies in there (I breed Black Bar Endlers). I always felt the babies needed to eat every day (I don't feed...

    Fertilizer Question/BBA Issues

Good morning all, It has been a while since I have posted. For the past 18 months I have had issues with BBA. To the point of where every single day I have to pick out substrate infected with it to boil it to kill it to keep the BBA from getting out of hand. I also have to pick off leaves...

    Class N Endlers?

Hello all. It has been a while! I am looking to buy Class N Black Bar Endlers and was really attracted to the thought of becoming registered. I see that Adrian Hernandez is the one who runs it, but his website and anything else related to him is shut down. Where can I still buy pure strain...

    Cloudy Established Tank

Good morning all, Last week we refinished our wood floors, which meant I had zero access to my main aquarium on the second floor. I took the precaution of moving all of my fish into a 10 gallon QT tank in the basement with me. I intentionally left my snails in the main tank to keep the...

    My Aquarium Rebuild

Good morning all, It has been a while since I have made an update so I wanted to give you an update. Everyone is doing well. Since the tank is back to being fully established, I have had zero BBA issues. I do, however still encounter green spot algae on the slower growing plants. The plants...

No access to tank for 7 days

What if I leave my fan on in the room and do my best to seal it? I ask because I may have no choice when trying to get into that room. The house is on a Hill unfortunately.

No access to tank for 7 days

There is some sort of new technology being used that "prevents dust" but I know dust will still get out. The fumes I am not as worried about as we will still be staying in the home, just in the basement level. Ladder could be possible, although difficult being on a hill. If I can't get to...

No access to tank for 7 days

Good afternoon all, It has been a while since I have posted! We are redoing the wood floors on the main level of our home. My aquarium is on the second floor. I was told when they start, I will not have access to the second floor for a week. My question is two fold: Will my fish be okay...

    My Aquarium Rebuild

My blind German Blue Ram passed away this morning. The last two weeks she stopped eating and the last few days started to get bloated. I just pray she did not die in pain. She did put up an amazing fight though for 8 months. Buried her next to her mate.

Timing on shifting fish from QT

I always do 4 weeks. Some diseases take 2 weeks to incubate so anything less than that would be a risk to your main tank.

[Build Log] Bouncing back from a total tank loss - Planted High Tech Discus Tank

They love heavily planted aquariums and plenty of caves so don't thin it out too much. It may be a female in the 6th picture. Her size, black dot placement leads me to believe she might. The only issue is she does not have that red stomach that females have. How old are these guys? She...

[Build Log] Bouncing back from a total tank loss - Planted High Tech Discus Tank

It is possible you have one female, but only one. Everyone is colored nicely, except one of your GBR's who is showing the stress bars. One thing that I will point out, is I can tell some of the fish are getting restless with the other GBR's. This goes back to me saying you might have too many...

[Build Log] Bouncing back from a total tank loss - Planted High Tech Discus Tank

Always glad to see that. I can see he is really, really stressed out though. When GBR's get stressed, they show what is called "stress bars." Essentially two black bars appear on their body, and their head turns black, along with their eyes. This is usually a sign something is wrong.

[Build Log] Bouncing back from a total tank loss - Planted High Tech Discus Tank

The rule of thumb is one male per 20 gallons, FYI. So be on the lookout for aggressive behavior.
