For Sale: Big Healthy Clumps of Java Moss

Once again the Java Moss has overgrown the little tank that it lives in, so once again I have removed this stored nitrogen from my 5 gallon aquarium. :thumb: This is a truly beautiful plant that is very easy to grow under even moderate amounts of light. This tank has been disease-free for...

    This forum's subtitle

"Does a disease have your tank stuck in a rut?" You should consider changing that description. The dictionary tells me that "rut" means: boring routine, humdrum existence, habit I don't think anyone makes a habit of having a disease in their aquariums.

    UGF for hex-5? Link please!

Is there someone please who can direct me to a web site selling an undergravel filter small enough that I could install it in a 5 gallon hex tank? I see 10 gallon hex UGF, but I can not "re-find" the very small ones I was finding the last time I looked. Thank you!

    Free Apple Snails in Illinois

 My Golden Apple Snails (aquarium or pond, canaliculatas) have recently provided me with dozens of babies that need a home. I'm offering these to Illinois residents who want to keep them alive...i.e...not for feeding to your other fish or pets. These free snails eat all plants and...

    UGF is doing great!

I thought I would post my positive experience with a traditional flow undergravel filter. I have UGF in both of my 20H goldfish tanks, driven by a W-Mart powerhead. The gravel is between 1.5 and 2 inches deep. I also have a "30 gallon" HOB filter on each of these tanks. Current popular opinion...

Online store link--sand for Cory tank?

I'd like to make my switch to a nice sand substrate in my 10 gallon cory tank as easy as possible and apparently the hardest part is going to be finding the sand locally. Instead I'll order it from online today. Will you please send me a direct link to a web site selling a good sand to use...

5 gallon hex Betta tank on my desk at work

The small betta tank on my desk at work (yes smaller than this) had to go, so I got him this 5 gallon hexagon setup with a bio-wheel filter system. I love the way they show at least 7 comet and fancy goldfish swimming in 5 gallons of water in the picture on the box. LOL. Here is the...
