That's a lot of fish for a 20 gal. The 50 will be much better. Someone told me to double your filter. For example, I have a 20 gal tank with 14 fish, using a Fluval 50 filter since they didnt have a 40 and I have it on lowest setting. I don't know what is recommended here tho.

I don't have any of those fish but I'd separate him into a 'hospital' tank, give him some meds for about 3 days, doing 100% water change adding conditioner of course, make sure water temp matches. Check your water parameters in original tank for amonia, nitrite and nitrates.

If you use Prime you cannot use an API test kit or strips, it won't be accurate. You need to get Seachem test kits. I got the Amonia and Nitrite/Nitrate kits online. They will even help you if you call them with a question on the procedure.
