I recently had an albino corydoras pass away and found out that it was a roundworm. One of my assassin snails came near it and it disappeared into the snail before my eyes, probably 10 seconds or less. Could it be infecting my snail now or or could my assassin snail have eaten the worm?

I agree, get a couple more females to reduce aggression. They are live bearers so its not hard to do. Whatever you're doing for one fish, do the same for a breeding group.

Diet sounds good and everything looks healthy to me.

If the tail is crooked, it may be a genetic problem. Usually agressive symptoms are shredded fins and gouramis can be agressive. What are the other fish in the tank and could you post a picture?

Most plecos love to hide, I know my clown spends about 80% of his time in his cave. About the spots, I don't see anything unusual. Are you sure that it isn't just your pleco's coloring? Has there been a drastic change recently?

Thanks for the input, I personally would love to put in a bunch more schools of corydoras but it would leave the tank looking so unbalanced. I'll probably just end up going with a couple more schools of tetras.

I have the same thing with my variatus platy sometimes. You might keep the baby in the breeder to be on the safe side. I have found though that if a particular fry has gotten out of the breeder, they will do i again and I cant keep them contained. Good luck and congrats

It all depends on how many fry you want, but a breeder will give you a higher survival rate as it provides complete isolation.

Look up a picture of a female anal fin and a gonopodium. The gonopodium is male and more pointy while the female anal fin is more fan-shaped.

What preparations do you need to do to driftwood for it to be able to go into a tank. I want a piece for my 25 gallon for my clown pleco, and I can acquire a ton of driftwood because my family has a house on the lake, just want to know how to prepare it. :thanks:
