    75 Gallon African Cichlid Tank

Thank you. The gaps in the rocks have some pretty good hiding spots already. You just can't see them and they aren't using them because they just got done eating. I thought about plants but from what I've read, plants will get destroyed by ACs

    75 Gallon African Cichlid Tank

About a month old tank. Just getting back into the game after a few year hiatus. Really excited for this tank. Everyone in the tank is still a baby. I really only have room for a few more. What do you think of the decor?

    Stocking 75 gallon

I am thinking about restocking a 75 gallon to have the following: 2 GBR 2 Fire mouths 4 serpae tetras 4 kuhli loaches Maybe some gold rams 1 clown pleco Maybe a twig catfish I hear mix things about GBR and how they can be aggressive and the same way with the firemouths. I'm trying to get a...

    Discus questions

Where should I get the discus if not from my LSF? My usual LSF is pretty good for pricing and I don't know why they said so low unless that was the pH they were out

    Discus questions

@stephen86 I plan on having at a minimum of 2. As long as they are happy with gold/German blue rams and tetras I'm all for them. They are beautiful fish and something no one around here I know of that has them

    Discus questions

Thank you for the info! My ph is seems to be very stable at 7.4. I will have to check what it is where I get them from.

    Female angel (balloon) ram

I do not know why I can't get a picture to upload, but that is sad to hear. Ever since I stumbled upon the ram cichlid family I have fallen in love with them. I found a deal at a local pet store for these angel rams and I guess it was for obvious reasons....

    Discus questions

Thanks @Stewy. My ph is 7.4. My local store where I was going to buy them from was saying a low 6 is ideal. My other parameters and my ph are very stable. Now I am trying to wait it out for the tank to be cycled for a little longer; it's only been about a month or so. Water changes are okay...

    Female angel (balloon) ram

I have had her for about a month now and she is acting kinda odd. I got her with a male, which he acts completely normal. When I say odd I mean she just kinda hangs out at the bottom away from everyone else. She looks fine, just not very active. Thoughts?

    Discus questions

I have recently acquired a 75 gallon with a fluval 305. I have had it for about a month and all my parameters are spot on except maybe my hardness with is at 75 ppm and alkalinity is at 80. I was told my ph needs to come down in order to have discus be happy. Is that true? What else should I...

    African Butterfly will not eat

Thank you for asking. He is doing great. He is eating shrimp brine, flakes, some blood worms, and crickets (which he goes nuts for). He is very active and comes out when he seems me around the tank. I actually just acquired a 75 gallon and getting that ready, so he will be very happy soon. Thank...

    African Butterfly will not eat

Got him to eat flake food too. It does seem like he has a hard time seeing. Thanks again

    African Butterfly will not eat

Good news! I finally got him to eat something. He was shrimp brine, and I think the only reason why he ate it was because it was right in his face. I put more plants in to give him a better place to hide. Bad news is I had to get rid of my Angelfish. He was bullying everyone and I think that was...

    African Butterfly will not eat

Thank you in the note of the plants. I will have to try that. Everything else was spot on. I guess that's also why he likes to come out at night. I'll give that a shot and keep you posted Sent from my SM-N900V using Aquarium Advice mobile app

    African Butterfly will not eat

I recently purchased my African Butterfly a few days ago and he will not eat. I have tried crickets, blood worms (frozen then thawed), and flakes (just to see if he would eat) and he will not move out from the filter. At night he seems to be more active, but all videos I have seen people feed...
