    to skim or not to skim?

    dead coral

    Hi guys, I've added some LR yesterday for starting the cycle of my 15 gl tank. But, i have a piece of dead coral here which is from the seas near Marocco. Could i add this to the tank? Note: this piece of coral hasn't been touched with any chemicals, etc.. I figure that it's harmless to add it...

    mixing salt

    Hi guys, I'm setting up this 15 gl tank. I've added the salt to the new tank. Should i turn on my waterpump and heating unit already? Or should i just leave the tank for 10 days with only the pump running to get my salt levels right? Does it matter if i turn on the heating unit? tnx in advance..
