I ordered Dr. Tim's Ammonium Chloride for Fishless Cycling. Works well and it was only 7 bucks shipped. I also used seeded media from a member here. Two weeks later I'm fully cycled.

Awesome. So they (shrimp) require any special needs other than the fish? How about a snail or two? Sorry for all the questions as I have a notebook here and I'm writing down almost everything I read.

Is there any difference in keeping ghost or cherry? My lfs doesn't carry them but I've seen them online.

My tap is a tad higher than that. I didn't add any water after the wc. Maybe I'm not using enough Prime? I did a 50% wc. How often now should I be doing them? Also, how much Prime should I be using for a 5 gallon bucket? The instructions on the bottle about the threads are a tad confusing lol.

My nitrites are now off the charts but showing only 20 nitrates. My ammonia went down from 4 to .25 since last night. Closer and closer lol. Now to find some floating plants...
