Anybody have dwarf hair grass growing? I'm having the worst luck with them. I have them in a dirted tank with sand topper in a 10 gal. My lights are 6500 cfls. They're starting to turn brown. Any tips is greatly appreciated.

Do you have any assassin snails?

Can you trim java ferns?

Live rock?

Has anybody have success growing these in a dirted tank topped with regular gravel? Success as in carpeting not growing upwards.

Get some purigen it'll clear up the tannins.

Would the loaches eat shrimp?

Is this a pond snail? Real tiny but a fast mover. Are they harmful to plants?

I have a bunch if plants in there right now and I think if I put fish in there right now they'll suffocate. I might just grab a few plants you just mentioned and add an air stone to speed up the process.

I have the same set up as you except I have no fish yet. sounds like you have algae bloom. I learned to just have your CO2 running when your light are on an airstone when they're off. Since we have a dirt tank I only run my lights 5hrs a day just to avoid the algae bloom. I've added purigen...

Hello all, I'm from California and just got into dirt tank. I just set up my 55 gal 2 weeks ago and just waiting for my tank to finally have balance so I can start populating it with fish. I've joined hopefully to purchase some live plants and for some profesional advise from all you experts!
